CHAPTER 12 AND CURRENT LEGAL EVENTS: We have been learning about the exercise of remedies--including creditor self-help and the concept of "breach of the peace." The State of Wisconsin is on the verge of enacting legislation which would specify some details about the circumstances which would, and would not, constitute a breach of the peace. The bill is S.B. 613, and it has passed both houses in the Wisconsin legislature. It awaits the signature of the Governor, having been presented on Feb 26, 2020.
